Step by step guide to create a home page with simple HTML

Everybody can learn to create a homepage with HTML

HTML means Hyper Text Mark-up Language.

HTML is the code, that makes a browser (Internet Explorer), show a home page in the way that the programmer have in mind. 

Let's begin right from the bottom. Begin by opening your test editor. You can find it here:
Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad.

Here you write this text: 

You can also mark all what I have written with your mouse, hold the Ctrl key down and press C to copy it all to your notepad. Click afterwards in the white on the notepad, press the Ctrl key down and type V to insert all of the HTML text to your notepad.

Now you can save your new HTML page. The notepad suggest, that you, that you save the HTML page as .txt; but here you have to write: hello.htm in stead.

When the HTML page is saved, you can open your Windows Explorer (Start -> Programmes -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer or you can right click at Start and chose Windows Explorer).

With your Windows Explorer you now find your HTML page. By double clicking at hello.htm, you open your HTML page in the browser.
